Biography

Chief Ben Bailey is native to NH. He grew up in Hanover Center where he attended the Hanover School systems and worked part time for Derby Mountain Construction from Lyme, NH.  Upon graduating Hanover High School, Chief Bailey attended the University of New Hampshire – Durham, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in General Biology in 2008.

Upon graduating from UNH, Chief Bailey moved west and ended up in the great state of Montana. In January 2010, Chief Bailey attended the Montana Law Enforcement Academy where he graduated and started working for the Park County Sheriff’s Office in Livingston, MT as a full time Patrol Deputy. Chief Bailey worked for the Sheriff’s Office for nearly ten years and was awarded the state medal of Merit (life saving award).

In early 2019, Chief Bailey moved back to N.H. to be near family. Chief Bailey started working as a full time patrol officer for the City of Lebanon New Hampshire on May 26th 2019. Chief Bailey attended the NH Law Enforcement Reciprocal Test where he was able to obtain NH certification.

As the Chief of Lisbon Police Department, Ben looks forward to continuing the outstanding history of treating people with kindness, respect and fairness.
