MEETING MINUTES
August 17, 2011

Meeting started at 6:30 pm
SK made a motion to accept the minutes of July 20, 2011, SB 2nd so voted all.
BM spoke to Mr. Stan Borkowski (Building/Code Inspector) on behalf of the Planning Board regarding the issuing of building permits. Mr. Borkowski stated he had no problems abiding by the requests of the Board to not issue any building permits until the Planning Board sees what the person is applying for.
BM contacted Mr. Borkowski regarding a shed on Armstrong Avenue that appears to be infringing on a setback. Mr. Borkowski wrote a letter to the homeowner.
BM asked Mr. Borkowski why there is a need for a building permit on storage containers. Per Mr. Borkowski, the reason is that there is no exemption for it in the State Building Codes. He further had stated that the Board of Selectmen have adopted the State Building Code.
The Board discussed current use and the current use change tax and contiguous lots. BM will contact Ms. Josephine Belleville (Department of Revenue) regarding this issue to hopefully get clarification.
The Board discussed the Lisbon Lion’s Club pool project. WB stated it is in the flood-plane area and the Board stated they would like to look at the plans when they are prepared.
The Board talked about the State-Wide Disaster Map.
The Board discussed the new ruling regarding the need for a surveyor’s stamp on all plans and not just an engineer stamp.
As there was nothing further to discuss, SB made a motion to adjourn, RAR 2nd, so voted all.
