Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: January 12, 2009

Selectmen Present:  John Northrop (JN) Ruth Robar (RAR), Duncan McKee (DM)
Town Administrator: Regan Pride (RP)
Administrative Assistant:  Barbara Menchin

Meeting started at 4:30 PM
Bills, manifests and minutes were read and approved.
 
SELECTMEN’S MATTERS:
The Board discussed the Dedication and Memorial Pages for the 2008 Annual Report.

The Board signed the grant agreement for the Hazard Mitigation Update Plan.

The Board to meet with Mr. Mike Doyle of Garaventa USA Company regarding possible locations for installing a handicap accessible lift in the town hall on Tuesday, January 13, 2009.

The Board to meet on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM the continuation of the budget review.

TOWN ADMINISTRATOR:  Regan Pride
RP discussed the Workman’s Compensation Insurance Resolution with the Board.  RAR made a motion to authorize RP to sign Workman’s Compensation claims, DM 2nd, so voted all.  The Board further voted to have BM as liaison for Workman’s Compensation.

RP was contacted by Thomas Alanda from the Assistance To Firefighters Grant program regarding if the town were to receive the grant, could the funds be direct deposited.  The Board voted unanimously to do this.

RP attended an informational meeting regarding potential funding for the Water/Wastewater plants.  At present, there are two proposals in Congress, one of which could give the State of New Hampshire $65 million dollars in funding, the other with a potential of $118 million dollars.

RP has set a meeting with all full-time town employees for Wednesday, January 14, 2009 to discuss the changes in the Health Care and Prescription Drug programs.  

DEPARTMENT HEAD:  George Stevens (Lisbon Fire Department)
GS spoke of the recent fire at 52 West Street.  GS stated it was a good save.  RP asked if people wanted to donate or assist the family whom should they contact.  GS stated the best thing to do is donate to the American Red Cross.  The Littleton Chapter is close and has always assisted in any such disasters.  

DM made a motion to accept the minutes of January 7, 2009, RAR 2nd.  All voted in favor.

RAR made a motion to adjourn the meeting, 2nd DM.  So voted all.

Meeting adjourned 7:00 PM.
