Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: March 17, 2008
Selectmen Present: John Northrop (JN), Ruth Robar (RAR), Jonathan Reid (JR)
Town Administrator: Regan Pride (RP)

Meeting started at 5:00 pm
Bills, manifests and minutes were read and approved.
SELECTMEN’S MATTERS:
JR made a motion, RAR 2nd to purchase a 3 x 5 American Flag and a 3 x 5 State Flag and the 8 ‘ poles for hanging at $157.50 each. So voted all.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT’S MATTERS: Barbara Menchin
The auditors had give BM a sample of a “recycle intake” form that some other towns have been using. The auditors would like to see the town adopt some sort of form such as this.
TOWN ADMINISTRATOR’S MATTERS: Regan Pride
RP discussed various grants that may become available for the town one of which was a sidewalk grant. JR made a motion, RAR 2nd to pursue this grant further.
RP has spoken with Mr. Kevin Clement regarding the Franconia Ambulance that the Life Squad is wishing to purchase. Mr. Clement and Mr. Colby inspected the vehicle and have given it a “clean bill of health”.
The Pearl Lake Brook Dam ground breaking is set for July 14, 2008. People who have been notified are: Department of Environmental Services, Mr. Ray Lobdell, Fish and Game officers and Mr. Ray Burton.
Discussion of Town Meeting and procedures were discussed.
RP discussed problems with the reading of FEMA flood plain maps. He has located a program that could combine the GIS system and the FEMA maps to allow easier reading. He stated he believes there could be some grant monies to help in this process.
A motion was made by JR to adjourn the meeting RAR 2nd all in favor.
