Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: January 15, 2007

Meeting reconvened Tuesday 1/16/07 at 10:00 am per pre-arranged agenda for budget work session.
Selectmen Present: Jerry Hite (JH), John Northrop (JN), Jonathan Reid (JR)
Clerk: Regan Pride (RP)
Media: none present
Approved AP manifest and payroll.
Members discussed salary for town clerk if Charlotte in the event of a resignation. JN recommends proposing straight hourly wage and no sharing of fees. Proposed wage is $11.50/hr, or $24,000 per year. RP will research as to when the town voted to combine the Town Clerk and Tax Collector positions.
JR moved to lock in the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) rate at 3.3% JN 2nd. All voted in favor.
Selectmen reviewed the General Government section of the 2007 budget, and wrote in proposed figures for the coming year.
Break for lunch at 12:15pm.
Session resumed at 1:00pm.
BOS continued with figures for 2007 budget.
RP shall input the figures and prepare totals for a subsequent meeting.
OTHER MATTERS
JH announced his intention to resign from the board of selectmen, citing personal reasons. As a consequence, he will no longer be living in town, and thus will be disqualified. He will submit a formal written resignation at a later time. JR nominated JN to serve as acting chair. 2nd by JH. All voted in favor.
Motion made by JR to adjourn meeting. 2nd by JN. All voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 2:00pm
