SELECTMEN’S MATTERS:
Butch Burbank of LGC Risk Management: The BOS requested RP to set up a meeting for July 31. JN requested 9 AM.
Joe Wiggett of Landaff wrote a note to RAR asking to have Pearl Lake Road repaired. It was stated that it was in the minutes that KC has plans of trying to get to Pearl Lake Road this year to grind the pavement down.
DEPARTMENT HEAD: None
TOWN ADMINISTRATOR’S MATTERS:
Regarding the Pearl Lake Dam: We have the “go ahead” from the Division of Historic Resources. RP has been in touch with Bob Goodby and he is prepared to start. Deb Loiselle emailed RP and has stated that the sediment sampling must be done. The good news is that we may be able to get by with only 2 samplings. She also told RP there may be some extra funding available through New Hampshire Charitable Organization. The Archeological survey should get started within the next couple weeks.
Betsy Little: RP spoke with her and has gotten readings for 2 weeks. It was decided to get the average meter reading and abate the difference. Also, the amount of water JR used it was determined that he could take care of that amount himself. If this should happen in the future, the meter should be read the change and then again after it is fixed. Kevin Clement needs to be notified of this. JN suggested we change the meters on this house.
Rural Development: There will be a meeting on July 10 at 1 PM to discuss the borrower’s account and the account activity report.
Railroad Station: KC knows what he needs for the Fire Sprinkler Pipe. HUD will not release any further monies until the town has matched their committed share. RP has a meeting with Peter Loesher Wednesday July 27, 2007 at 4 PM regarding the train station.
Lisbon Main Street annual meeting to be held at 6 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2007.
Chief Tavernier had the Bike Safety course last week. Gave out all helmets.
Chem Feed Building: An auger in the metering system broke and has to be replaced. Terry Welch to check into pricing.
The Lisbon/Landaff Life Squad contract has been sent to Landaff.
Cable Consortium: The contract is up for renewal. Monroe has not submitted a copy of their contract. Regarding statistics on subscribers, last year shows they are decreasing.
Franchise Fee: Upon renewal we can impose a fee for up to 5% which would pay for channel 2.
Harvey Paquin has requested to have cable/internet as he has been having to do online paperwork for the State. The price that was quoted from Time Warner was $1,110.00 to run cable. RP to check into the possibility of wireless or satellite.
RP noticed that the “ Request for Town Hall Use” form is minus the fee to be paid to the town hall. This form needs to be corrected and the new Police Department rate to be inserted. Also, JN said we need to re-think the rental to the basketball groups in the winter time as the cost of fuel is costly.
RE: Use of the old cruiser. JN made a motion and RAR 2nd to make a ruling that if the car is available and the person opts not to use it, they cannot charge the town for mileage. If, however, the old cruiser is either broken or being used, the person using their own car can get mileage.
Motion made by JR to adjourn meeting. 2nd by RAR. All voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm
