Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
April 3, 2006
7 PM Meeting Opened
Selectmen Present: R. Pride, J. Hite, and J. Northrop
Town Administrator: G. Scaife
Bills, minutes, and manifest approved for the week.
Public Input - None.
Chief Tavernier presented the Police Department monthly report:
· The new Police Cruiser is being delivered tomorrow. JT will do all of the work associated with removing equipment from the old cruiser and installing it in the new cruiser. GS had added vehicle to insurance list.
· Proposed keeping the old cruiser temporarily so that Officer Pinson could use it for transportation to the 12-week academy rather than the town having to pay mileage. BOS agreed this was a good idea that would save money.
· JT to be on vacation Friday and Monday.
· Officer Pinson will be in school beginning next week and will return to regular duty on 7/9/06
· JT will be attending a Juvenile Administration class later in the year.
Guy Scaife presented the Town Administrator weekly report:
· Update on various properties that are in violation of a Zoning Ordinance regarding the overall condition of the property.
· Reviewed policy and procedure for those seeking to get a building permit on a Class VI road.
· Reviewed proposal from contractor to repair roof at Recycling Center.
· Representative from Dept. of HHS is assisting a Town resident on property cleanup.
· All financial information required by DRA after Town Meeting is being mailed this week. Waiting on clarification on a couple of items from our auditors.
· Reviewed ISO Building Code correspondence. Waiting on the State to adopt a statewide single-family building code.
· Working with the Neilson family to solve a water quality issue.
· Garage door to Fire Dept. broken; repairman will be on site Tuesday 4/4/06. Vehicles have been moved out temporarily.
· Requested Board to approve the Purvis & Associates Property Assessing contract. All items we had requested were included in the contract and the overall cost was the lowest of the 3 proposals received. Contracted amount is in the current budget. BOS signed contract.

RP moved and JN 2nd to enter non-public session per RSA 91-A:3, II(c) to discuss Buffington Fund requests and personnel matters, taking G. Scaife with them. So voted by roll call.
Resumed public session.
JN moved to seal the minutes of the non-public session and JH 2nd. So voted all.
JN moved to adjourn and JH 2nd at 8:35 PM. So voted all.
