Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
January 16, 2006

Bills and manifest approved for the week.
Public Input – None
Discussion regarding Grafton County Master Plan. GS attended community review meeting on 1/12/06. County Commissioners are seeking public input on long range plans for the complex. Survey was given to each Selectman to complete and return.
Reviewed letter from the Landoc family regarding drainage/culvert issue at their residence at 169 Highland Ave. GS to visit site and communicate town position.
Reviewed correspondence from Mike Gilman, Littleton Employment Security Office, concerning the possible closure of that office. Commissioner Brothers will be at the site on 1/17/06 and Mike requests as many Selectmen as possible stop in to meet with the Commissioner to stress the importance of maintaining this operation. JH and JN plan to attend on 1/17/06.
Guy Scaife gave the Town Administrator report.
1. GS and JT attended the Emergency Care Planning Meeting in Littleton on 1/11/06. The Current Lisbon Area Community Smallpox Response Plan will be updated to serve as an area emergency plan to cover any type of health-related emergency. There was overwhelming support to develop a plan that called for multiple vaccination centers rather one for the entire area. Decisions on where and how many are expected to finalize at the next meeting scheduled for 2/8/06.
2. GS attended Main Street 101 on 1/11/06.
3. GS attended the Railroad Station Renovation Project meeting on 1/10/06. Plans are underway for Phase II of the renovation. Volunteer craftsman work effort is being organized for the spring.
4. Budget Update – 2005 actual expenditures approximately $68,000 under budget for General Fund, under budget $16,000 for Wastewater Budget, and over budget $2,600 for the Water Budget.
Budget review of 2006 General Fund, Water, and Waste Water budgets were completed.
Meeting recessed at 8:25 PM until Tuesday morning, 1/17/06, at 8 AM to complete Departmental budget reviews.

Meeting resumed at 8 AM 1/17/06. Each Department Head reviewed their budgets. GS had several action items to clarify expenses and to break out separate individual accounts on departmental budget so as to have better clarity of expenses.
RP moved to adjourn and JN 2nd at 11:00 AM. So voted all.
