WJ reported Chief Tavernier was taking a class on arson crime investigations Mondays and Thursdays for the next few weeks and would not be attending the meeting as noted on the agenda. Chief did report to WJ that only one application for the patrolman’s position has been received so far.
The Board reviewed all remaining employee evaluations. No additional comments were added to the department head evaluations prepared by WJ.
WJ reported he was informed on Saturday by Ronney Lyster of Lisbon Chevrolet that the property that the dealership is located on is being sold to Walter Young of Haverhill, NH who also owns H.O. Taylor Chevrolet in Wells River VT. The sales agreement includes a provision that no auto related business would ever be operated on the property again and Lisbon Chevy will be closing in a few weeks. WJ spoke briefly with Mr. Young on Monday afternoon about the purchase and plans to meet with him in two weeks to discuss some possible uses he is considering for the property. The closing on the property is scheduled for Wednesday, November 10. The matter of the new fire station was discussed briefly and no decisions can be made until more discussions with Mr. Young are had.
JH moved and JN 2nd to move to non-public session per RSA 91 A: 3II © to discuss an application to the Buffington Fund. So voted all.
