Ray Pineo addressed the Board regarding his concerns about the AHEAD project on Dickinson Street. Several times he had encountered problems getting by the construction vehicles and debris in the road. Also prior to paving the trenches in the road, they were left down about 4” below the regular road surface. The Board acknowledged several problems with the contractor during the project and has notified them of the issues on several occasions. With the project scheduled to be completed by the end of October the situation will improve. R. Pineo also agreed to serve on the new fire station committee after receiving an invitation from the Board. Mr. Pineo left the meeting at 7:40 pm.
WJ presented the 2nd issue preliminary water and wastewater warrant for Board review. WJ explained two options are being considered to deal with the sewer adjustment for DCI and will require a change to the warrant depending on which option is used. WJ will discuss with Donna Clark regarding the best option to use from a computer/bookkeeping point. If necessary revised warrants will be presented next week for signature. Bills should be in the mail by October 15, 2004.
JN requested a letter of violation be sent to James Wadleigh on Armstrong Av. regarding storage of a number of inoperable motor vehicles on his property. WJ will send the notice on Tuesday giving Mr. Wadleigh 5 days to correct the violation, as this is his second offense. Also a concern is that the grease spilled at Northrop’s has run over the sidewalk and onto the road and could create a traffic hazard. WJ will discuss with Josh on Tuesday morning.
JH moved and JN 2nd to move to non-public session per RSA 91-A: 3II © to review and discuss two applications to the Buffington Fund. So voted all.
