Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes

Bills and manifest for the week were approved.
WJ requested a non-public session to discuss the status of negotiations for the hiring of a part time person for the water and wastewater position. JH moved and JN 2nd to move to non-public session per RSA 91-A: 3II (a). So voted all.
RESUMED PUBLIC SESSION
WJ presented the latest plans for the restoration of the railroad station. After review, the Board approved the plans as proposed.
WJ and RP updated the Board on the Route 302 advisory committee meeting held July 28. Several of the suggestions from the committee were discussed including parking on Main Street, curbing on both sides of the road, changes to the intersection of School Street and 302 and parking at DCI. The next meeting will be in late September to discuss additional options with DOT.
Randy McGuire addressed the Board regarding his plans to construct a new patio on his property on Barrett Street. After review of the plans, no action was necessary by the Town for the project, as no additional structures would be constructed on the property.
WJ advised the Board the proper notice was not given for the public hearing held last week for the expenditure of unanticipated grant funds from NH Fish and Game for ATV enforcement. The hearing must be advertised in the paper 7 days prior to the hearing to be legal. Chief Tavernier has been informed and the hearing will be rescheduled for a future date.
WJ requested a non-public session to update the Board on an ongoing personnel issue. JH moved and JN 2nd to move to non-public session per RSA 91-A: 3 II (a) to discuss a police personnel matter. So voted all.
