"Disney comes to Lisbon's Lilac Festival"
Lisbon proudly honors the State flower each spring as home of NH'S Annual Lilac Festival®. Sponsored by the Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce, this event is held annually on Memorial Day weekend, since 1982. The three-day event boasts loads of family fun and several long-standing traditions, including a proclamation by NH's governor honoring Lisbon's annual celebration of the State flower; a special stamp cancellation issued for Lisbon Lilac Time Station, and a Grand Parade, which boasts floats, bands, marchers, and other entries, in accordance with the celebration's annual theme. In addition to the parade, flea markets,
concessions, and carnival rides fill Lisbon's Main Street with activity.
Art and quilt shows, live entertainment, and a golf tournament provide plenty of things to see and do. Sunday evening fireworks brighten the night sky above the Ammonoosuc River in the heart of Lisbon's downtown. NH's Annual Lilac Festival is a special weekend for Lisbon and a time-honored tradition for residents and visitors alike.
