TOWN OF LISBON
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Purpose:
(1) To obtain the views of citizens on community development and furnish them with information concerning the opportunities available under the provisions of the Community Development Act.
(2) To discuss the Town’s proposed application for up to $700,000 in HUD Community Development Block Grant funds on behalf of Affordable Housing, Education and Development (AHEAD) Inc., a nonprofit community housing development organization. The funds are proposed to be used for the Lisbon Riverfront Renewal project, in which up to 6 multifamily housing properties will be acquired, rehabilitated and operated at affordable rents for households at or below 60% of median income. In addition, 8 new units are planned for construction, making the total size of the development project 20 units. A portion of the funds may also be used for housing rehabilitation loans and/or grants to owners of homes on South Main Street between the Lisbon Inn and the Landaff
town line which are occupied by low- or moderate-income households.
(3) To discuss the Town’s Housing and Community Development Plan.
(4) To discuss the Town’s Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
